What’s your special talent, quirk, party trick or special sauce that makes you ‘rise above the rest?
My special talent is that I’m good with numbers. I like to work smart and I’m tight – it’s in the Scottish blood – so you won’t find me blowing the budget or getting the figures wrong. And, it lines up with the best advice I ever received – don’t give me problems, give me solutions.

What’s your favourite coffee order?
Long black.

If you had a spare $50 what would you buy, do, spend it on and why?
If I couldn’t just pop it in the bank (told you – I’m tight), then I might just do something completely unexpected. I once saw someone walking down a busy street in my inner city neighbourhood handing $5 notes to those who looked like they could really do with a hand, while telling them to buy a little something on him. I saw him at the supermarket later, and asked him why, and he said ‘it made him happy’. It sure made the recipients happy too, so maybe I’d do something like that.
