I believe that most important part of a resume/CV is the first third of the front page, which should include your name, contact information, branded headline, summary and core skills. This is valuable resume real estate which contains the most dynamic, persuasive and noteworthy information about you, your credibility and expertise.
Whose resume & LinkedIn profile (they can be dead or alive) would you love to write given the chance? And, why?
Elon Musk – As a scientist, I would love to hear all of the cool (and nerdy) elements that went into building companies like Tesla, SpaceX, and Solar City from the ground up and how these companies are changing the world in a positive way.
Sara Blakely – She is my favorite female entrepreneur, whom I greatly admire given that she thrived on failure and ultimately became the youngest female billionaire. She and I also share some passions, particularly in helping women elevate their energy worldwide.
What’s the quote you live by?
Differentiate yourself! Why are you different? What’s important about you? Why does the customer need you? – Sara Blakely
What’s your special talent, quirk, party trick or special sauce that makes you ‘rise above the rest?
My special talent is that I actually don’t come from a traditional HR or recruitment background but chemistry and engineering – it has supported me in thinking in a different way and asking the right questions to uncover each client’s unique selling points. And, after spending close to 2.5 years living abroad in Europe, I have learned to appreciate different cultural perspectives, which has made me a much more open-minded and empathetic person.
What’s your favourite coffee order?
A dark, bold flavoured coffee brewed in my French press. Although, I will admit that I enjoy a pumpkin-spiced latte in the cooler months.
If you had a spare $50 what would you buy, do, spend it on and why?
I would do one of three things: use it for a relaxing day at the spa, try a new restaurant, or, on the more practical side, purchase new pots and pans for my kitchen (I love to cook!).
