- I also completed a few years of a Bachelor of Health Science in Exercise Physiology but life ended up taking me in a different direction.
I believe that most important part of a resume/CV is the Executive Summary because it’s essentially an ‘elevator pitch’ that allows candidates to present their best case for why they are the most suitable for the job.
Whose resume & LinkedIn profile (they can be dead or alive) would you love to write given the chance? And, why?
Given the chance I’d love to write the resume and LinkedIn profile for Henrietta Lacks. Although her life story and passing from cervical cancer was tragic, the cells taken from her tumour have been the catalyst for some of the most significant medical advances of our time including the polio vaccine, chemotherapy, IVF, cloning and gene mapping. Her story is fascinating – that a poor woman with little more than a junior high school education has unintentionally ended up making such an invaluable contribution to society? Can you imagine the key achievements section on her resume?!

What’s your special talent, quirk, party trick or special sauce that makes you ‘rise above the rest?
My special talent is my uncanny ability to get to the very core of a person in a short amount of time. I’m the person that you spill your guts to or end up telling your life story to and you have no idea why. This helps me to differentiate my clients, making them memorable to potential employers who find these pops of personality and information intriguing.
What’s your favourite coffee order?
I’m a prolific tea drinker – black, green and herbals. I like the ritual of it and the sheer amount of variety – did you know that T2 has over 200 varieties? *mind blown*. Coffee keeps me awake for 24 hours, looking like a crazed woman planning world domination, so it’s a no-go for me.
If you had a spare $50 what would you buy, do, spend it on and why?
I’m known for being obsessed with skincare products so either something from Mecca Cosmetica or Sephora because when you’re working in an office all day, hydration is key. Otherwise, I’d harness my enterprising nature and use the $50 to cover listing fees for no longer used household items that I’ve been meaning to sell for forever, and instead pocket a few hundred.
